Nano-texture display

What is Nano-texture glass? Glare is often a problem in brightly lit offices and homes, which can render the large, glossy displays little more than huge mirrors. One way can be a matte display or using the new nano-texture glass will drastically reduce glare while avoiding the frostiness and washed-out colors that are often the compromise made when opting for a matte finish. It’s all thanks to some clever design and showing great attention to detail while being careful and precise. It results in displays that can happily cope with bright light sources, a rather costly addition to the price tag adding $150.00. So if you bought the basic model with 24GB of RAM and nano glass, $2,149.00 without it $1,999.00. How does it work? One of the main causes of glare is light from lamps, windows, and other sources reflecting at you due to the smooth surfaces of modern displays. Apple has taken things to the next level by preceding a coating and instead physically altering the surface through tiny (nano) etchings. The pattern of the etchings means that light rays hitting the display are reflected off at a range of angles, eradicating most of the glare in the process. The very clever part is that this somehow doesn’t seem to affect the onscreen display much. Of course, making all those microscopic etches in the glass is a precision job. How do you clean your Nano-display? Apple’s new Nano-texture glass display Apple insists you should only be cleaned using a specific Apple cloth. One is included with every display.

M4 MacBook Pro display uses quantum dot film for more vibrant color & motion performance. Apple has shifted from red KSF phosphor film to quantum dot film in the latest models with M4. Quantum dot technology isn't new, in fact, Apple has using it in their displays since at least 2014. By replacing the layer of phosphor film with nanocrystals made from semiconductor material called quantum dots, displays can display brighter and more vibrant colors.
